I practice moderation passionately.

Support America's Soldiers.
Elect a competent Commander-In-Chief.

Clinton lied, Hillary cried.
Bush lied, people died.

A Short Note to Senator Daschle

.
Dear Sir:

Thank you for your comments regarding the foreign policy failures of the Bush administration. As a retired Chief Warrant Officer (CW4) with almost 30 years in uniform and as one veteran to another, hold your ground.

As for the critics who are demonstrating their willful ignorance, you owe no apologies to a bunch of gutless sons of bitches who "defended their country" by vigorously throwing themselves face down into the taxpayers' trough.

Celebrity Voices. Why does the media continue to give these people a platform to spout outrageous opinions on subjects about which they are profoundly ignorant, just because they have been elected or appointed to a political office.

Everytime I hear him speak, I'm reminded of Mary McCarthy's comment about Lillian Hellman, "that every word she writes is a lie, including 'and' and 'the.'"

There is no honor in this, so it is right that it should be done by dishonorable men.

When the Supreme Court exercised its divine right to appoint a cowboy president, we hoped to get the best of Joel McRae and John Wayne, not the worst of Gabby Hayes and Liberty Valance.

Separated at birth? Richard Perle and Ursala, villainess of The Little Mermaid. On the other hand, has anyone ever seen them together?

Upun my word! Another hare-brained concern for the small-minded environmentalist.

The Flaming Moderate's Reflections

Maybe the problem isn't that the Justice Department and FBI are led by puritanical, small-minded, pretentiously moralistic twits.

Let's give them the benefit of the doubt.

Maybe they're just being led by incompetent lawyers and technologists.

Yeah, that's the ticket!

They aren't conspirators, they're just boobs!

North Korea. Like a small child wanting the attention of a parent, North Korea won't settle for hugs by the aunts and uncles. It wants Papa to notice and nobody but Papa will do. And when Papa is way too distracted with sibling rival Iraq, little NK, just like a child, will keep upping the ante, keep increasing the pull on the pants leg, keep making a louder and louder noise UNTIL PAPA NOTICES. We've all seen that escalating behaviour over the past few months as Papa has determinedly kept his eyes averted, maybe because if Papa does notice, Papa will have to admit that this ill-behaving little monster is his own creation. So my question is this: just what does NK have to do to attract Papa's attention, given the irrationality of children and Papa's proven penchant for denial? How many Americans will NK have to kill to focus Papa's attention?

Don't change the horse in mid-stream. A horse dropping offered by the horse's ass who got us stuck in the middle of the river to begin with, in an attempt to get us to drown with him instead of jumping on another horse's ass with at least enough sense to find the nearest river bank.
